I can't believe that it is already mid November!  Soon it will be Advent and we will be getting ready for Christmas.  If you are a Christian family with grade school children you might want to pick up a copy of this DVD.

The Buck Denver What's in the Bible? series of DVDs was created to teach children about the Bible and Christianity.  This one focuses specifically on Christmas.  Through puppetry, music, and fun kids will learn about some of the traditions we associate with this holiday and how we can correlate them to the birth of Jesus.

Watch this trailer to get an idea of what a fun presentation it is.

The program covers questions like:
  • Where do we get the word Christmas?
  • When was Jesus born?
  • What do Christmas trees have to do with Jesus?
  • Who is St. Nicholas?
  • What is Hanukkah?
  • Who is Emmanuel?
This a great way to teach younger children because it delivers information by way of lovable and fun characters and songs.  Parents might find that they learn a thing or two themselves!

The website has a special sale price now through mid December, so it is a great time to pick up a copy and maybe a few extras to give as gifts.

I also have a copy of the DVD to give away.  You may use the form below to submit giveaway entries.  Open to US residents and only one prize will be awarded per household - so please feel free to enter giveaways for the DVD on other blogs, but you may only claim one copy.
