The numi key by mobeam ~ Review and Giveaway!

How many of those plastic loyalty cards do you have on your key ring or in your wallet?   It seems that every store has one now.   According to recent statistics, the average American household has enrolled in at least 14 of these programs.  They are good for the consumer, who will save money or earn incentives, and they are good for the retailer, who can track purchasing patterns and market accordingly.   The only problem is, the cards begin to stack up.

The brilliant minds at mobeam have come up with an answer.  The numi key.  If you have an internet connection with a USB port, the numi key can store the information for up to 50 of these cards on one small device.  This 2 inch x 1.5 inch x .5 inch device is as light as a feather.  It attaches to your key ring if you desire, or you can slip it into your purse or pocket.  It will also store the codes for coupons or gift cards.

To get started, you attach the  unit to your computer with the USB cord that is provided.  There is no software to install or download.  You will go to the site www.myloyaltycards.com and begin.   If your card is supported by the device, it will appear in a drop down menu, and you will then add it to your numi key.

Once a card is stored, you will be able to go to the store, navigate using the arrow keys to find the right card, press the red center button at the checkout scanner and your card will be scanned.  (If for some reason, the scan does not work, the numbers are displayed on the unit, and may be entered manually)

The battery is rechargeable and there is an indicator on the upper right part of the display to let you know when it is running low.  It should not require frequent recharging with ordinary use.

The numi key is available for $19.95.  However, one of my readers will get one for FREE!  The mobeam company has graciously allowed me to offer one of these as a giveaway item.

  6. This would be awesome. I know that my husband and I have to "share" our cards so that we don't overfill our wallets. This would help me be able to keep them all with me all the time.

  13. I would love to win this gadget, to organize my cards that are dirty, cracked, peeling, and worn out. I am psyched to be free from keeping track of loyalty cards.
