Rebecca St James - I Will Praise You - A Review and Giveaway

Christian pop-rock singer, actress, and author Rebecca St James will be releasing a new worship CD, I Will Praise You on Tuesday, April 5th.  It is her first since 2005.   I've had the opportunity to listen to it, and share my thoughts with you.

If you are an existing fan, you won't be disappointed.   It was worth the wait.  The songs are warm, personal and inspiring.   Everything you love about her music is still there, but better.

If you have never heard of Rebecca sing, you should definitely visit her listening party where you'll be treated to three tracks from this upcoming release. If you share about it on facebook or twitter, you'll be given the opportunity to hear the entire CD.  You'll quickly see why she has won so many industry awards, and even a Grammy.  She's a very talented young lady.

She co-wrote five of the ten new tracks, and is very pleased with the outcome.
“Listening to the songs now that the album is completed and thinking on the meaning of some of the lyrics—themes like joy in the midst of pain, God redeeming challenging seasons in our lives, surrendering all to Him, opening our hands, how He’s making all things beautiful in His time, I realize the very threads that run through I Will Praise You are all very poignant and personal to me through the journey of the last five years of my life.”

You can order the CD from her website, or from Amazon. You'll also find fan pages on Facebook and Youtube or you can follow Rebecca on Twitter.

The tracks on the new CD are:
  • I Will Praise You
  • You Never Let Go
  • Shine Your Glory Down
  • You Still Amaze Me
  • In a Moment
  • The Kindness of Our God
  • When The Stars Burn Down
  • Almighty God
  • You Hold Me Now
  • You Make Everything Beautiful

I have also been given the opportunity to offer this CD to one of my readers.   The giveaway will run until April 18th.  The contest rules are as follows:
