The Write Foundation ~ Sentence to Paragraph, Update

The Write Foundation
He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. Luke 6:48

Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to review the Sentence to Paragraph Writing Curriculum published by the Write Foundation.   We really enjoyed the program.  It is created by a homeschooling parent, with the reluctant writer in mind.  The student is not asked to come up with the writing topic, and they are guided, step by step through a process.  The end result is fun, creative pieces of writing that my boys are proud of.

Sentence to Paragraph is the first of a three level program.  It is followed by Paragraph Writing, and then Essay Writing.

Since my review in November, the Write Foundation has made a few changes to make this program even more homeschool friendly.  Originally written for a Co-Op setting, the language often reflected that.  The new, revised lessons are directed to a one family situation, and are a little bit easier to understand.

They have also made the decision to sell their products exclusively from their website, which has allowed them to lower their prices considerably.   The entire 30 lesson curriculum including the teachers pages and student worksheets now sells for 69.95 -plus tax and shipping if applicable.   Extra sets of student worksheets are now available for $19.95 for all 30 lessons, or $14.95 for a 15 lesson set.

If you are interested in learning more about this wonderful writing program, please see my original review, and then check out the sample pages available on the website.

** The Write Foundation has provided me with 15 of the updated lessons so that I could provide this informed review.
