Heidi -The Children's Classic - is Now Available for Your iPod Products - a Review and Giveaway for Three Winners!

Heidi is a timeless, favorite story for children. Now it is available through iTunes for your iPad, iPod Touch, or iPhone in a colorful interactive app that little ones will love. It is a bilingual storybook, which can be read or heard in German or English.

The app allows pre-readers to have the stories read to them by professional narrators.  Older children can choose to read by themselves.

Each screen has fun, interactive images that will make sounds or speak when touched.

The first part of this three part story is available now.  In this segment, we are introduced to Heidi, a young orphan girl who has been living with her aunt.  When the aunt is called away for work, Heidi goes to live with her Grandfather.  The reader will get to know her as enjoys life on a Swiss Mountain.  She is  sweet child and she charms all of the people she meets.

At the end of this installment, Heidi's aunt returns, and wants to take the young girl away with her.   Part two will be released later this month, and we will see how that turns out.

This app is created by Katrin Draemann Barothy of Just Kids Apps. Children in Switzerland have loved this, so she decided to offer it to the children of North America, too. Just Kids Apps, as a member of the group Moms with Apps, is dedicated to developing family friendly entertainment. This offering is a great example of that promise.

As part of this introduction to North America, I have been given the opportunity to offer a giveaway. Three winners will each receive a code for Part One of the Heidi series. To keep this open to all iPod product users I am offering the iPod Touch/iPhone version, which will work on iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, but please note that there is also an iPad exclusive version available for purchase. It is $3.99 through the iTunes Store. if you decide to buy this app for your family, please take the time to leave a rating on iTunes and tell what you think about it. It will go a long way to ensuring that more family friendly apps will be offered in the future.
If you would like to try to win the Heidi App, I will provide several means of entry.  The first two will be mandatory, the rest optional.  Please leave a separate comment for each entry, and each will count as it's own chance to win.
