SpyKids: All The Time In The World (for DS) by Majesco

SpyKids: All The Time In The World (for DS)

In conjunction with the release of the new SpyKids4 Movie, Majesco Entertainment has created a new video game; SpyKids All The Time in The World.   The game is rated E. (for Everyone)  There is a mild amount of cartoon violence, but nothing to merit bumping it up to an E10 rating.

The object of the game is to move through eight levels of play.  If you can avoid the traps and the bad guys you'll help Cecil and Rebecca save the world from having time stolen forever.  Luckily, the characters have special skills and cool gadgets to get the job done.

The boys have enjoyed playing. It's challenging and has enough action to keep them satisfied. They also liked the bits of comedy mixed in. I agree - that's good, since kids can get pretty intense when they play action games. I also like that there are puzzles that require them to use some critical thinking along the way.
My boys are eleven, and have been gaming a while, and they had a few areas that had them hung up for awhile.  Despite the cartoonish design and E rating, I think this would be a tough one for younger kids who might get frustrated easily.

Some highlights:
  • Eight levels full of baddies and traps, including: Downtown, OSS Base, OSS Vault, Big Time Watch Repair Shop, and Time Keeper's Lair
  • Play as either Rebecca or Cecil, each with special skills
  • Master state-of-the-art gadgets to fend off enemies and find hidden goodies
  • Navigate environmental puzzles like quicksand, conveyor belts, air vents, slick surfaces, and more
  • Earn special attacks, such as Double Speed Attack, Attack Power-up, Mega Super Power Boom, Blue Cheese Bomb, and more
SpyKids:  All the Time in the World is available now and retails for about $25.00.
