Basa Body

I have found a new way to indulge my coconut oil obsession.  I have been using organic, virgin coconut oil for some time now.  I love it for cooking, and it use it any time I have problems with my skin, too.  I have personally enjoyed health benefits that I believe are the result of my coconut oil usage.

I was recently given the opportunity to try some body lotion made with pure, virgin organic coconut oil, made by basa body.   I had enough to use it twice, and both times, it worked very well, even on the rough spots, like my elbows, knees and feet.

The lotion goes on a little thick, but it absorbed well.  My skin stayed soft all day, and it was glowing, but not greasy.  The lotion has a light, natural, coconut scent.  It is pleasant, but not overpowering.  I love the smell of coconut oil, and apparently, I'm not the only one. I had several people comment that I smelled "so good"!

I'd also like to tell you about the company.

This is from the website:
The Basa Body story began years ago with a single trip to Kenya. We connected with wonderful, intelligent women working hard to feed their families.  Their small-scale enterprise was called Coast Coconut Farms, where they produced virgin, organic coconut oil by hand.  Intrigued by their commitment, skill, and entrepreneurial spirit, we were determined to help these women tell their story and grow their business. The result is BasaBody, named after the women of Mombasa, Kenya, where Basa's coconut oil is produced.  As well as providing a sustainable income and employment for the women of Coast Coconut farms, Basa Body also donates 10% of its profits to humanitarian projects in Kenya.
