Bob Lends a Helping Hand and Larry Learns to Listen -TWO @VeggieTales DVDs - Review and #Giveaway (10/23)

Bob Lends a Helping Hand and Larry Learns to Listen

Bob Lends a Helping Hand and Larry Learns to Listen

Last month, Big Idea Productions released two new Veggie Tales DVDs.   Each has a new episode, as well as two old favorites for over 70 minutes of viewing pleasure.  And that's not all!  There are bonus features to enjoy, too.  Right now, both can be purchased together for $20.00 at the Veggie Tales website.  The Veggie movies are unrated, but are suitable for all ages.

In Bob Lends a Helping Hand, Joe's mother gets hurt, and Bob volunteers to help.  Larry and Joe want to help, too.. but their plans are a little too much!  The veggies learn that simple gestures convey love and are often more appreciated than grand plans.  This DVD also includes two classic favorites, Tomato Sawyer and Huckleberry Larry's Big River Rescue, and Lyle, the Kindly Viking.   The bonus features include a  sing-a-long, a family activity, a demonstration on how to draw Tom and Huck and an interactive storybook.

Larry Learns to Listen is a great one for impulsive kids.  (like mine!)  Poor Larry!  He is so excited to get his new Space Squadron game that he tears in and wants to play right away, without reading the instructions!  Bob and Joe try to warn him, but in his excitement, he doesn't listen.  You can imagine how that goes.  Badly.  complete with a Ker-POW.  But his friends are still there for him, and help him to restore the game to a workable condition. Phew!  Whew!  Larry learns that friends and family are here to help us!  Also included on this DVD are Pistachio, the Little Boy That Woodn't, and Josh and the Big Wall. The bonus features include two sing-a-longs an interactive book and a marionette feature.

The Veggie Tales are animated movies, with Christian themes and Biblical reference.  Bob and Larry never get tired of telling us that God loves us very much!  These movies are a great way to introduce little ones to some of the stories they will lean later.  I love when my boys read from the Bible and (usually in unison) they'll shout out what Veggies story correlates with the passage.  For example, they immediately recognized King Nebuchadnezzar II as Mr. Nezzer and Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, as Rack, Shack and Benny.  Your kids will also learn important life lessons, too.

Thanks to the generosity of Veggie Tales, I'm so happy to be able to offer both of these titles for giveaway.

I was given these DVDs to watch with my family in order to write an informed blogged review.  I was not paid to write this post and my opinions are genuine.
