Frito Lay:  Good Chips.  Good Fans.  Good Fun!

Here in our house, we love crunchy, salty snacks.  Our pantry is full of chips, and most of our favorites come from Frito Lay.  We were all pretty excited when we received this delivery from the Frito Lay Company!

Fritos Snacks

Inside this cool, reusable shopping bag with the Frito Lay logo we found plenty of crunchy goodness!

Fritos Chips

First open were the Classic Lays Potato Chips.  These are an old school favorite that never go out of style.  The thin, classic chips are not very fancy, but they are oh, so good!  They didn't last long!

The Tostitos With a Hint of Lime were fantastic!  I loved the light and crispy tortilla chips with a fun new twist.  the lime is not overpowering, butgive the chips an extra zing. I was also happy that the chips were not all crushed, as tortilla chips sometimes can be.

There was also a bag of Harvest Cheddar Sun Chips included.  I think multigrain chips with a great cheesy flavor are the perfect way to get more whole grains and fiber into my diet.  These have a fantastic crunch appeal, and the grains provide texture.  My sensory seekers really like them.

As an added bonus, these great snacks come from a company I trust.  A member of the PepsiCo family, Frito Lay is dedicated to customer satisfaction, and committed to responsible corporate practice.  For example:
  • Consumers (especially moms!) who are concerned about what the family is ingesting are happy to know that many of the snacks are made from just three basic ingredients:  Corn or Potatoes, oil and salt.  This is especially good news for gluten free families!
  • The oils used are all natural and have ZERO grams of trans fat.
  • A lightly salted line of chips with half the sodium of competing brands  is also available.
  • Lays Classic Chips, Sun Chips, and Tostitos are made with ALL natural ingredients.  This means no artificial flavors, preservatives or MSG.
  • Sun Chips contain 18 grams of whole grains per serving, and Tostitos can have up to 8 grams.  The Sun Chips also have 2 grams of Fiber.
  • The potatoes used are purchased from American Farmers.  More than eighty farmers in 27 states contribute.
  • Some manufacturing plants have been using technologies that create renewable energy, such as solar power and biomass boilers.  They have also taken measures such as reusing shipping cartons several times before recycling, to divert at least 99% of their waste from landfills.
  • Frito Lay has the largest private, all electric fleet of Route Delivery Trucks in America.

Most important of all, the chips taste great.  Crispy, crunchy, salty and satisfying.  With so many varieties, and so many flavor choices, there's something for almost everybody - conveniently located in your neighborhood grocery store.  To learn more, visit , follow the company on Twitter, or become a fan on facebook.

Happy snacking to you, and  thanks to Frito Lay!

The Frito Lay company sent the items pictured above in exchange for an honest, blogged review.  I was not paid to write this post, and my opinions are genuine.
