A new spin on an old favorite.

Inside the box, you'll find:
  • A MONOPOLY Game Board
  • 4 MONOPOLY Touch-banking Cards
  • Rubber Pads (to keep your device from slipping)
  •  6 Tokens
  • 28 Property Cards
  • 32 Green Houses
  • 12 Red Hotels
  • 2 Dice
  • 1 Game Guide.
Game set up is easy.  Open the board, and turn on the FREE app you have downloaded from iTunes using your iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.

You will then input information for each player so that the app knows who is using which token and which color debit card.

Roll the dice, move your piece, and (using the app) buy property, have auctions, or do all the same things you would ordinarily do playing Monopoly, except... now the special spaces on the board have become interactive.

Chance and Community Chest are mini arcade type games, and they can even be contests with other players!

Here are some photos of what game play looks like.  (I apologize for not thinking of taking screen shots until just this moment)

The Game maintains the authentic Monopoly experience, but adds some updated features.
 • The Game requires the app to play.
• The Debit card is a clever modernizing update..
• The mini games used for Chance or Community Chest and jailbreaks are games within the game.
• The app is the banker - no more Monopoly money all over the house!
• There is an option to display hints and tips for a smart game!

I love the easy set up and clean up, and the app will save and allow a game to resume if needed.

The object of the game remains the same - to be the player with the most assets at the end of game play.  The properties also remain the same, but there are updates which include new utilities, (solar power and satellite telecommunication) modern situations to deal with for Chance or Community Chest, and property values in millions of monopolybucks.

The all new feature is the incorporation of mini games.  Some even include all of the players, like the pinata and pass the bill games pictured above.

Here is a quick glimpse of some of the mini games:

The kids love the debit cards and the way they scan.  With no banker, it is easier to keep the game flowing and I suppose it reduces the risk of cheating.  The numbers are still put in manually though, so be careful to enter them correctly.

Hasbro pulls off a great combination of modern technology and classic board game to ensure fantastic family game nights that all the generations can enjoy.
