I have felt moments of concern regarding my memory and it can be quite alarming! One of the symptoms of fibromyalgia is called "fibrofog". As a person who has always had a high IQ and a quick brain, I get very frustrated by it. I do my best to keep my brain in shape, but I was doing so without any guidance. I was happy to receive this book, Chicken Soup for the Soul, Boost Your Brain Power.
This is a book for everyone - good brain fitness is important even for healthy, young, neurologically sound people. The pages are a combination of medical information and personal stories. They are woven together into a book that is fun to read, and filled with suggestions that most people can start incorporating into their lives quite easily.
Dr. Marie Pasinski, MD - a graduate of Harvard Medical School, and a current staff member and doctor of neurology has put together just enough data to keep the book interesting, and writes it in a way that lay people can understand. The suggestions may help improve memory and delay or reduce the risk of dementia. Some added benefits could include less stress, better sleep, and improved overall health. (I am hoping for all of the above!)
