More than 20 years ago, Eat'n Park Restaurant introduced the Smiley Cookie to its customers.  What began as a free treat to the younger patrons has become a bit of an American icon.  Now these happy cookies can be found far and wide.  In fact, over 200,000 Smiley Cookies are donated to charitable events for non profit organizations every year.

I will confess, I love cookies.  I don't even try to resist them.  Life is too short to say no to cookies.  I was more than thrilled to try this assortment of Christmas Cookies from the Smiley Cookie Bakery.

When UPS delivered the cookies to my doorstep I opened the plain brown box and found this one inside!

Even if I didn't know what was inside, simply seeing such a box with big, colorful smiles would instantly brighten any day.  Of course, it only got better - this happy container held much more goodness!

Tada!  Nestled inside were one dozen carefully packaged Kosher and Nut Free Christmas Cookies!  In case you cant see it clearly, the plastic box has slotted sections which fit each cookie neatly into place to prevent breaking.  The whole thing is tightly shrink wrapped so that the container won't pop open if jostled.  As you can see below, the system works splendidly.

Perfectly intact smiling cookies - Hooray!  The tree shapes are sugar cookies.  They have a nice layer of green icing and a very happy face.

The Gingerbread Cookies have less icing - a garnish around the edge and the signature smiley.  In this shipment, there were six of each kind - a delicious dozen all together.

If you prefer something more fancy, the website has a nice selection of gift baskets, boxed towers, and big buckets of cookies, too.   One of the cute seasonal items is a stocking filled with your choice of cookies.

There are also ways to buy bulk sized orders of  individually wrapped cookies.  These  make great stocking stuffers or  a unique classroom treat.

As you can see, I am not the only one around here who loves cookies!  Boy One and Boy Two were both thrilled with this early Christmas surprise, too.
