Keeping Fit During Pregnancy Just Got Easier

Almost anyone who has every been pregnant, has at least heard of, and has probably owned a copy of What to Expect When You’re Expecting by Heidi Murkoff.  Now to assist expectant mothers with staying fit during their pregnancy there is the What to Expect When You’re Expecting: The Workout.  This title was released on DVD on December 4.  It can also be purchased as a  Digital Download or viewed On Demand.

This special pregnancy exercise program was created for use throughout an entire pregnancy. With an emphasis on never overdoing it, and the ability to mix-and-match routines, a mom-to-be can tailor her workout to fit her growing body.  Choose from three cardio, one stretch and two strength workouts.

The six 10-minute segments allow the viewer to create her own perfect workout that will suit her own fitness level as her body grows and changes.  There are always alternate moves to revert to in order to prevent fatigue or over-exertion.

The Three Cardio Routines:

         BAREFOOT & PREGNANT:  A gentle workout for improving balance, strength and circulation.
         BABY BUMP BOOT CAMP:  This basic workout is designed to improve stamina.
         BABY STEPS: This is a fun, but easy dance routine.

Two Routines to Build Strength

         CUTE TO THE CORE: Fight aches, pains and flab while keeping your abs and hips strong and toned with Pilates-based moves.
         BUNS IN THE OVEN: Target-tone your buns with this total-body workout designed to firm up your legs, buns and thighs.

Stretching and & Relaxation:

         MIND, BODY & BABY:  Use these yoga moves to relieve minor aches and pains and to soothe your body.

Although I am not pregnant, I am limited to gentle exercise routines because I have lupus and fibromyalgia.  As you can see in the videos, the What to Expect When You're Expecting workout does a great job of encouraging, without pushing anyone to overdo it.  I think it is a great choice.
