Sometimes it feels like God just isn't there.  Difficult times can make us question our faith. In this book Ted Kluck, shares his own heartbreaks - especially a failed adoption that had him feeling bleak and disillusioned for a long period of time.

The co-author, Ronnie Martin, faced his own faith obstacles. As a well-known recording artist he let the trappings of fame keep him from a close relationship with God.  A time of great and unexpected sorrow helped him to see the error of his ways and changed his heart.

We have a choice with our sorrow.  Do we cling to it and rage against the Lord, or do we give it to God and allow Him to heal our hearts?

If you have doubted during your pain you are not alone. Sometimes it is through these challenges and how we overcome our personal heartbreaks that deepens our faith and prepares us for greater glory.

The authors write honestly about their experiences (including the mistakes and disappointments) with the hope that their stories will help others to find God during their own dark periods.  Through candid language and admission of their own shortcomings I was able to relate to them.

In the end, it was when they brought their brokenness to the greatest healer they were mended.  God never leaves us, he patiently waits.
