Mrs. White is a dedicated Christian mother and homemaker.  She goes to great lengths to live out her faith in every way possible including plenty of prayer and meditation both alone and with the family.  She listens to Gospel music as she cleans her home and prepares the meals.  As a homeschooling mother, she took special care to give each child special attention and teach them both academics and Bible study.

I have been subscribed to her blog for several years and I enjoy reading about the pride she takes in her home and family as well as her tips for stretching a budget, cheering oneself up during difficult times, and the ups and downs that are a part of mothering.

This book, Mother's Faith, deals with that very emotional roller-coaster.  Specifically the young adult years when the culture beckons to our children and tempts them with the sparkle of worldly things.  As difficult as it may be to endure our precious ones are going to make mistakes.  We will disagree often.  There may even be harsh or angry words.  How does a mother cope?

Through this book of short essays, lamentations, and encouragements, Mrs. White shares the words that she typed out at her computer as she tried to sort it all out.  There is one constant in all of the pages -she does not change her value system to provide accommodation, nor does she ever withhold love.  If anything, she loves more and roots herself deeper into her faith.  One passage says:
I will not change because they are busy.  I will not stop setting the table or making special meals, because they need to know that those things will always be waiting for them when they need it.
Her writing style is endearing.  She sometimes uses iconic figures of motherhood that we would all know such as the mother from the Waltons Erma Bombeck or Edith Bunker to make a point.

The book is small and can fit in a purse or on a bedside table.

It contains the following titles:
