MacLarry and the Stinky Cheese Battle 1
We are all set to celebrate the release of the newest VeggieTales movie, MacLarry and the Stinky Cheese Battle.  As you can see in the photo above, I received a fun party pack with the new DVD, some party plates and cups, and a package of VeggieTales water balloons.  We will have a viewing party in August with some friends.

Of course, we pre-screened the movie.  The story is set in a Veggie version of Scotland, and MacLarry is a young hopeful inventor.  Unfortunately, he is the son of Chog Norrius, a legendary prankster - and life as a member of his tribe revolves around the longstanding feud of pranks with the neighboring tribe.

Since his pranks are rarely successful and he needs some help with his inventing MacLarry plans to leave the tribe and seek the guidance of Archie-Medes, the great inventor.

In good VeggieTales fashion the story comes to a happy conclusion and it teaches a good moral lesson or two in the process.  In MacLArry's case the tribe members learn to get along and his father learns to appreciate the young cucumber's love of inventing.

We are looking forward to sharing the movie with some friends.  We began by sending out movie night invitations and using these labels for popcorn and snack bags.

In the bullet points above I linked to some free MacLarry themed printables that will make movie night extra fun.  Get ready to sing along with the Veggies or whip up recipes like Chog's Cheesy Snacks or Stinky Cheese Roll Ups.

There are also some coloring sheets.  Build a beard for Chog, or color in some MacLarry scenes.

These activity sheets are also fun.  Do a word search, find your way through a maze, connect the dots, or draw your own stinky cheese.

All of your favorite Veggies have a part in the show, and there is a "Silly Song" in addition to the musical numbers that are a part of the story.
