Woolzies dryer balls are an eco-friendly replacement for conventional fabric softeners and dryer sheets.  They have no chemicals at all so they are good for us, great for the environment, and a fantastic choice for anyone with skin sensitivities.

Woolzies Dryer BallsI have been using Woolzies for a couple of weeks on about 50% of my laundry.  I was able to compare them to the softener sheets I normally use, and the results were impressive. I really like the Woolzies!

Made from 100% wool, they soften clothes, reduce wrinkles, cut down on static.  Also, by creating better air flow and absorbing moisture from the wet laundry they can reduce drying time by about 25%.  Guaranteed to last for at least 1,000 loads, the savings potential really adds up over the life of the product!

Even people with wool sensitivities can use them - they will never come in contact with the skin and the balls do not shed.  Over time pilling will occur but this actually helps them to work better.  There is not a lot of maintenance required - just keep tossing them in the dryer!

During high static seasons, it may help to place each ball into a thin sock, run them through a hot wash cycle (with detergent) and then (after removing the socks) put the balls into the dryer on the highest setting.  If you are still getting static, crumple up some aluminum foil into a ball that is about the size of the Woolzies and add that to the dryer cycle, too.

I like a little bit of scent in my clean laundry, so I followed the tip from the manufacturer.  Once the laundry had dried, I took out two Woolzie balls and added a few drops of pure essential oils to them.  I tossed them back in and ran a cool air fluff cycle for ten minutes.  This works great, and I have complete control over how much scent I am using.

Here is Boy Two holding some Woolzies - this will give a better idea of their size and texture .  (We found that they also work well for juggling.  *smile*)  Use all six (or more - if you have them!) each time you run the dryer.  They don't make the same racket that similar plastic or rubber products do.  Because they are soft they do their work quietly.

Your order comes in a box like this one with four peek-a-boo ventilation holes.  There is a lot of valuable information on the box and there is a Frequently Asked Questions sheet enclosed as well.
