Fill their Stockings With (Discounted!) @sweetriot Chocolate (And a Give Away!)

RiotBar 6-Pack
Thanks to all who participated in the Sweetriot Chocolate fundraising campaign.  It was a great success, and lots of chocolate was shared.

If you missed the fun, let me tell you a little bit about SweetRiot.  As you have probably gathered, they make chocolate - but that's not all.  Their products are dark chocolate made from vegan recipes using Fair Trade ingredients and packaged in wrappers and tins that showcase the work of emerging artists.

Sweetriot's goal is to bring delicious but healthy chocolate treats to us and to make the world a better place while doing so.  In fact, the reason they chose their name is because they wanted to reflect the opposite of what a civil riot is (dangerous, oppressive and violent) and create a SWEETriot - a joyful celebration of diverse cultures, lovely art, and well, chocolate, obviously.

If you visit sweetriot on the web at you can learn all about their vision and their story.  You will also find their webstore where you can buy lots of sweetriot treats fro yourself, your friends, and your family.

I also have a discount code - which is why I'm typing this big and bold.  I don't want you to miss it!!  Shop during the month of December 2013 and use the code ourvillageriot to receive 20% off your order! (riot club memberships are excluded and will not receive an additional discount)

You can also get social with Sweetriot on Facebook or follow and tweet to the Twitter account.  (@sweetriot)

I think that Santa is filling his sleigh with some bars, 100 calorie snacks, and tins of one calorie nibs.

Choose the 70% Dark chocolate bars in the Quirky Quinoa Crunch, Kickin' Coconut, or Fabulous Flax flavors.  If you like your dark chocolate straight up, immerse yourself into 85% dark chocolate with no competing flavors.

The nibs are lightly roasted cacao and they come covered in 50%, 65%, or 70% dark chocolate.

The 100 calorie packs are a little different.  You will find trail mix, granola, raspberry licorice, and "yummies"

Dark chocolate is definitely an acquired taste - especially since we have such an abundance of mass produced milk chocolate at our disposal.  That is why sweetriot wants to give you the opportunity to do your own taste test.

One of my readers will win this giveaway for one full sized Quirky Quinoa Crunch Bar and one full sized bar of a nationally known chocolate bar that has crispy pieces in it.  The winner can try both and compare the classic with the healthy, fresh, dark chocolate version.
