Less Words Wednesday - Goodbye Jaws, Hello Minions! @UniversalORL

If you have ever been to Universal Studios Orlando, you probably have a photo like this:


The Jaws attraction was definitely a long time fan favorite, and we were glad to be able to enjoy it in December.

Although Jaws has finally been allowed to enter retirement, it is only because the folks at Universal are always working hard to make the park better.

In June, the Minion Mayhem attraction opened in grand style!


Universal Orlando’s all-new attraction, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, officially opened to guests on Monday, July 2, 2012, bringing minions, mayhem and tons of laughter to Universal Studios Florida. Gru, his daughters – Margo, Edith and Agnes – and the mischievous minions were joined by dozens of young minion recruits to count down to the ride’s official opening, which culminated in a sea of bursting yellow confetti, pyrotechnics and the hit disco tune, “Boogie Fever.” Celebrity guests Miranda Cosgrove (Margo), Dana Gaier (Edith) and Elsie Fisher (Agnes), who voiced Gru’s daughters in Despicable Me, also attended the festivities and experienced the new ride with the minion recruits. Despicable Me Minion Mayhem is a hilarious and heartwarming new ride that combines a new storyline, new animation, the latest 3-D technology – and the heart, outrageous humor and memorable characters of the hit animated film. Based on the Movie Despicible Me, it has enjoyed rave reviews.  We can't wait to see it!
