It's hard to believe that this is the 27th day f the Gratitude Challenge that Brenda is hosting at Garden of Learning. Thanksgiving has past, and it's time for Advent and Christmas activities.
It's funny how quickly time passes as an adult. When I was younger, this was the longest month of the year, and it felt like Christmas would NEVER come. I wish it still felt that way, because I appreciate the season so much more! We put the tree up today, and started to do the decorating. Soon, I'll begin the baking, wrapping, and shipping. I'm thankful for this season of preparation. I don't get very caught up in the commercialism, but I like the day by day progression. Reading stories with the boys, sharing memories, making crafts, enjoying the decorations and the music. Today I am grateful for Advent. I am thankful for the time to reflect on the greatest gift of all, and to teach my children the real reason that we celebrate.
